WAGA Chairperson; ebm-papst’s GreenDay event 2016

New WAGA Chairperson

WAGA has a new Chairperson – Peter McKinnon, Manager of Environment and Sustainability at Wyndham City Council. Peter is a longstanding valued member of the WAGA Executive Committee. He has already played a key role in guiding WAGA through development of the regional Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Low Carbon West and more recently in implementing these major plans. While Wyndham was WAGA’s host council for three years until handing on to Brimbank in July 2015, Peter managed administration for WAGA, helping to ensure good governance, happy staff and budgets in the black.

At the same time, WAGA says goodbye to Adrian Murphy, WAGA’s Chairperson for 2015, as Adrian left his position as Manager of Economic Development and City Sustainability at Moonee Valley City Council. Adrian also played an important role in WAGA over many years, first as Melton City Council’s representative on the WAGA Operational Committee and lately, following his move to Moonee Valley, as an Executive Committee member then Chairperson.
