Sustainability Victoria is holding a FREE Gas Efficiency Masterclass in Sunshine on Friday 27 October.
Rising tariffs are a big issue for major gas users, and this event is an opportunity for engineering, technical staff and facility managers to gain knowledge to reduce gas consumption on high consuming sites.

Content: The masterclass is designed to provide valuable assistance to all major gas users including manufacturers, council facilities and the healthcare sector to reduce their energy costs. It will target engineering, facilities and technical staff and those interested in gas efficiency, and will be delivered by business energy specialist Kevin Joyce of Energy and Thermal Services. Kevin has more than 30 years’ experience helping businesses improve gas efficiency.
The masterclass will cover the following topics:
· Gas tariffs
· Gas steam and hot water boiler efficiency
· Direct gas heating efficiency
· System maintenance for quick savings
· Fine tuning systems to improve gas efficiency
· Government grants and other support
· Financing your project.
The Gas Efficiency Masterclasses are part of a package of Sustainability Victoria programs that support business which include grants of up to $50,000 for businesses who use high volumes of gas.
The grants can be used to support gas-related projects including capital equipment upgrades, non-routine maintenance and repairs, fuel switching, and improving metering at different points of the production process.
