Did you know that Melbourne’s west has only one sixth of the tree canopy of other parts of Melbourne? Over the last five years, the Greening the West – 1 Million Trees project has been working to change that.

Here’s a video to celebrate the inspiring partnerships which made it happen, including the councils – Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Hume, Maribyrnong, Melton, Moonee Valley and Wyndham – other agencies such as City West Water, Melbourne Water, Parks Victoria and VicRoads, and community groups who directly benefit.
